SpaceX IPO imminent
I think on the positive side, and this is a tenuous positive link, the American public is about to pay for research into new technology. I say positive in there there are some good aspects to SpaceX, reusable rockets and satellite communications.
On the more realistic side the American public is being conned and cleaning up mistakes that would drive any other company under.
I’m not American so more specific opinion doesn’t matter too much however I would be okay with this nationalisation of technical assets if the research was done for the benefit of at least the nation ideally all human kind.
However as useful as transformers and large language models are the market for both chat and AI agents is being massively inflated by hype and social media. And if you watch this video you’ll see that it is creating a massive loss in another wise profitable business.
And this is where I think you can see the good and the bad of Elon Musk and similar tech Titans, the technical advancements of rockets and satellite communications is, in my view, un-debateable. However this incessant competitive irresponsible push for artificial intelligence is absurd.
The value of connecting every single human being is also debatable people should choose and not have their brains hacked and hijacked.
